Jordan Wine Estate
30 minutes
Start with a morning pick-up from your accommodation in Cape Town. Be transported to a hidden wine wonderland, tucked away in the Stellenbosch Kloof Valley.
Get off the beaten track on an into-the-vineyards drive to experiencing the synergy of soul and soil to visit Jordan Wine Estate for a quick tasting or opt for the 4x4 wine drive.
2
Jordan Wine Estate
If you'd like to get up-close-and-personal to the vineyards, we can help you book the 4x4 safari Winelands drive at Jordan's estate. You won’t see the Big 5, but be prepared to feast on award-winning big wines, stopping at 360-degree vantage points to catch views of False Bay and Table Mountain in the distance. Your wine guide will let you experience the terroir and geology of the grounds whilst tasting a selection of the estate's best, drinking in the Stellenbosch and Table Mountain views paired with interesting wine tasting trivia. Head to the working cellar for an insider view of how grapes are processed and wines produced, from the large fermentation tanks to the endless rows of stacked oak barrels. This is followed by an opportunity to sample more wine in the barrel cellar or on the sun-soaked terrace.
3
DeMorgenzon Winery
1 hour
Waltz your way to the next tasting stop at DeMorgenzon’s marvellously musically influenced vines. The owners of this estate believe that playing baroque 24/7 from large speakers in the vineyards has a romantically delicious effect on the grapes, and the wine's depth of flavour certainly rings true, consistently winning multiple international awards. Sample the Maestro and exclusive reserve wines as you're lulled by the baroque music drifting through the tasting room and estate. Follow the music on a whimsical walk behind the Cape Dutch buildings to enjoy the Reserve Syrah from the vineyard block where it was harvested.
4
Van Ryn's Distillery
1 hour 20 minutes
Finally, Van Ryn’s internationally acclaimed brandy is the perfect way to end the day on a high note, pairing decadent confectionary bites with reserve acclaimed pot still brandies. Sample some of their best brandies, paired to perfection with mouth-watering fruity or chocolate infused dessert delights.
Return to the Mother City by late afternoon as you bid farewell to the Winelands, satiated after a day full of tasting classics.
