What You Will Do
Ready to make your day in the city a fun experience for the whole family? Begin by seeing the National Monument to Victor Emanuel II in Piazza Venezia. At the back of the monument lies the Ancient Roman area of the city, the Roman Forum, and the Colosseum.
Then it will be time to drive by the Baths of Caracalla until you reach the glorious Pantheon, where you will have time to explore the square and enter the site to marvel at the inlaid marble floors and beautiful statues.
Walk around Piazza Navona with its stunning monumental fountains and climb the stairs at the Spanish Steps for a view of the lively square below before you head to Trevi Fountain to toss a coin in for good luck and a safe return to Rome.
There will be also time for a traditional Italian lunch before moving on to the Appian Way area where you will spend the rest of the afternoon exploring the underground catacombs with a guided tour offered by the Catacomb staff, before returning to your hotel in the city.

Piazza Venezia

Be amazed by the colossal white marble monument where the eternal flame always shines to pay respect to the unknown soldiers who fell during the war. Two soldiers guard it day and night to ensure it never goes out.

Roman Forum
Marvel at the size of the largest political and commercial hub of the Ancient Roman Empire, as you drive by the ruins of grandiose temples, basilicas, and public spaces leading to the Colosseum.

Appian Way (Via Appia Antica)
See the most important road of Ancient Rome, which was essential in transporting troops and goods in and out of Rome. Today, part of a splendid national archeological park.

Pantheon

Step inside the most ancient building in Rome to marvel at the "Oculus" in the center of the dome and the opulence of the marbles and the exquisite details of the statues all around you.

Piazza Navona

Rome is for real an open-air museum, as testified by this awesome square where you can admire the best example of Baroque art in its exquisite fountains. Why not enjoy a nice gelato as you stroll around the piazza?

Spanish Steps

Climb the 138 steps that lead to the church of Trinità dei Monti for a spectacular view of the square below, or just walk around the square to enjoy one of the most acclaimed spots in the Eternal City.

Trevi Fountain

Time to throw your coin in the Trevi Fountain for good luck and a safe return to Rome, but you need to do it right! Turn your back to the fountain, hold the coin in your right hand and toss it over your left shoulder!

Catacombs of Saint Callixtus

Ancient Roman law prohibited the burial of the deceased inside the city walls, so they were built along the Appian Way, which was outside the walls. They are a network of passageways that can stretch for over 15 miles underground, so visiting them is only permitted with the aid of a catacomb guide provided by the site.
