Then plunge into the friendly hustle and bustle of ‘modern’ Rome as you walk around the historic centre, taking in such iconic sites as the Trevi Fountain, Piazza Navona and the mighty Pantheon – the largest man-made cement dome with an oculus in the world. And it was built in the second century!
After a pit stop for lunch, hop in a taxi across town where your guide will lead you through the hallowed halls of the Vatican Museums to wonder and marvel at the masterpieces from antiquity and those extraordinary, god-like rivals of the High Renaissance: Michelangelo and Raphael.
On exiting the Sistine Chapel your tour will end on the iconic balcony of St Peter’s Basilica, after which you will have time to explore the Basilica at your own leisure.

- Accesibility: If you have mobility impairments or require any assistance, please let us know in advance so we can plan your tour accordingly to ensure a great experience. Colosseum The entrances to the Colosseum located along Via Dei Fori Imperiali are equipped with ramps. The ground floor (first-order) of the amphitheatre is accessible to wheelchair users. The first floor (second-order) is accessible by lifts. Two wheelchairs are available at the site, one for the ground floor and one for the first floor. Suitable toilets are available on site. Roman Forum The accessible routes in the Roman Forum and on the Palatine include an elevator at the Salara Vecchia entrance, an elevator at the Curia Iulia on the Via Dei Fori Imperiali level, and an elevator (currently under maintenance) on Via Dei Cerchi and an elevating platform at the Arch of Titus. The Palatine Museum is equipped with an elevator and two stairlifts. 5 wheelchairs are available at the main entrances to the Roman Forum and Palatine. Vatican Museums For visitors with mobility issues, the Vatican offers free wheelchair hire from the cloakroom (subject to availability) The museums are accessible also to visitors on mobility scooters or electric wheelchairs in limited areas due to space limitations. In this case, the visitor will be offered to transfer to a regular wheelchair. To facilitate the visit, the Vatican Museums have designed an itinerary without barriers.
