What You Will Do
For Individuals please book our tour - 1 Day Guided Badlands Tour of Drumheller Dinosaurs Canyons Hoodoo
This is a private tour, the itinerary will be as follows unless your group makes changes to it:
You start with a morning departure from Prairies into the Badlands. After a photo op at Drumheller Welcome Sign, your 1st stop is Royal Tyrrell Museum of Paleontology to explore the galleries. Then a visit to the Little Church and a drive to the panorama of Horsethief Canyon. Later you'll climb to World's Largest Dinosaur viewpoint and do a photo op at Jurassic Corner. Then a canyon drive through 11 bridges of Wayne to the Last Chance Saloon. Next you'll cross the Rosedale Suspension Bridge before a visit to the eerily beautiful Willowcreek Hoodoos sculpted by eons of erosion. Your final stop is at Horseshoe Canyon for up-close views of the striped canyon formation.

Royal Tyrrell Museum

(Summer and Winter) Royal Tyrrell Museum of Paleontology is a World-class paleontological museum, with over 130,000 fossils and amazingly detailed exhibits that bring prehistoric eras to life and a small Hoodoos trail.

Drumheller's Little Church
10 minutes
(Summer and Winter) Visit the World's Largest Little Church that can accommodate 6 person at a time.

Horsethief Canyon
20 minutes
(Summer only) You will have time to take pictures and experience the viewpoint at the Horsethief Canyon, which projects a nostalgic image of the Old West Tales.

Wayne
30 minutes
(Summer and Winter) You'll experience the famous drive through 11 single-lane bridges to reach the ghost town of Wayne, with a optional stop at the historic Last Chance Saloon if open.

Rosedale Suspension Bridge
15 minutes
Currently closed for construction (Summer and Winter) You'll cross this historic swinging pedestrian bridge that once served local coal miners, offering unique views of the Red Deer River valley.

The Hoodoos
20 minutes
(Summer and Winter) You'll walk the interpretive trail among these fascinating stone pillars formed by erosion over millions of years. You can explore and photograph these otherworldly formations.

World's Largest Dinosaur
30 minutes
(Summer and Winter) You'll climb 106 stairs inside this 86-foot T-Rex for a unique view from its mouth overlooking the entire Drumheller valley.

Horseshoe Canyon
45 minutes
(Summer and Winter) You'll spend approximately 45 minutes exploring this spectacular badlands formation, with time to descend partway into the canyon on maintained trails for dramatic photos of the striped geological layers.

(Summer and Winter) You can explore the photo-stop intersection in Drumheller Downtown with Dinosaurs in varied settings around you.

Bleriot Ferry
15 minutes
(Summer only) You can view or cross the Red Deer River on the river crossing vehicle ferry.

Orkney Viewpoint
15 minutes
(Summer only) You can visit this off-the-beaten viewpoint path for more spectacular view of the Badlands and Drumheller Valley.

Badlands Amphitheatre
45 minutes
You can take a theater guided tour of the backstage and the arena.

You can have a pass-by view of the theater town of Rosebud near Drumheller.

Atlas Coal Mine National Historic Site
45 minutes
You can visit the Historic Site of the last coal mine in Drumheller. Paid tours by the mine can allow visit to the underground mine, coal train and walkway to the mine.
