More than a fun attraction, The Florida Aquarium is a 501(C)(3) not-for-profit organization dedicated to their shared purpose of saving marine wildlife. Admission sales help educate visiting students, provide world-class care to our animals, rehabilitate rescued sea turtles, and advance scientific research to save Florida's Coral Reef. The Aquarium is accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums for maintaining high standards in animal welfare, veterinary care, conservation, and education, among other requirements. Explore nine marine and wildlife habitats while learning about alligators, river otters, sharks, rays, sea turtles, and more. Plus, interactive experiences allow guests to prepare diets for cownose Stingrays, cruise Tampa Bay in search of dolphins in their natural habitat, or take an underwater walking tour of one of our habitats. Not just a must-see attraction in downtown Tampa, the Aquarium is dedicated to their shared purpose of saving marine wildlife.
