Meeting Point
Surf lessons are located in Kihei at Kalama Park (across the street from the Aloha Gas Station and Kihei Caffe). Look for the van that says WAVES Hawaii Surf School. We recommend arriving 15 minutes early. We also recommend bringing a towel, sunblock, and water to hydrate.

Get to the next level with multiple day lessons! Learn the anatomy of a surf board, surf etiquette, ocean awareness, safety tips, paddling techniques, pop-up, reading the waves, timing, turning, navigation skills. Each day is a 2 hour lesson. All equipment included (boards, reef shoes, rash guards). Book your first days lesson here online and then contact us by phone, text or email to coordinate the other two dates you would like. You can choose how you would like to space your dates out. Lessons are Monday – Saturday in the morning. The gentle break of the wave and semi-shallow water makes this one of the best places to learn to surf. Lessons in Kihei at Kalama Park with Waves Hawaii. Bring your family and friends to surf with you or to watch. There is onsite parking, public restrooms, outdoor showers, walking path, playground, and cafes and restaurants across the street. Book early for peak family travel seasons (Spring, Summer and Winter Breaks) as lessons can book up weeks in advance.
