This was originally an open walkway to cut from "Place D’Armes (Jackson Square) ” to the “Rue de Royale(Royal Street.)

Bourbon Street

We have reached the end of the French Quarter and the beginning of the Treme neighborhood. This is widely recognized as the Birthplace of Jazz.

Bourbon Street

Lafitte’s Blacksmith shop is one of the oldest buildings in the French Quarter. The story goes, this shop survived the fires of 1788 and 179_ because it was, in fact, a blacksmith shop, and so structurally it was built to withstand large amounts of heat.
