What You Will Do
Our Twilight Tour was created for upper elementary aged kids- those ready for deeper questions, critical thinking, and curiosity about the "what-ifs". Like our Spooky Tour, we focus on the real history, documented accounts, and actual experiences witnessed on tours. However, the Twilight Tour digs deeper than the Spooky Tour. The stories are more detailed with more opportunities to interact with the spirit realm. The tour is interactive- kids will never be put on the spot but encouraged to try something new, something they won't soon forget. New Orleans is a magical, mysterious city. On this tour for 8 - 12 year old kids, they will leave intrigued, enchanted, and perhaps a little spooked. Our tour is unique because it is kid friendly: no violence, no gore, nor "adult" topics and language. We keep it clean!

1
Old Ursuline Convent Museum
18 minutes
The tour begins at the Old Ursulines Convent where families will learn about the Ursulines nuns and their critical role in rescuing the colony from certain doom. They'll hear about the caskette girls, sent here to marry the young settlers- but rumored to have brought a bit more than their wedding dresses to the colony...
2
Lalaurie Mansion

The tale of this mansion enticed Nicholas Cage enough to purchase the home- and Hollywood enough to create American Horror Story based on it. Families will hear what happened here (child-friendly version!!)- as well as how the truth came to be learned. Hauntings throughout the centuries and on past tours will be shared, as well as an attempt to communicate with Madame Lalaurie...
3
Gallier House
18 minutes
We will teach families about the Irish immigrant / Creole family that lived here - and died here- in the 19th century. The mourning rituals of this Catholic city, during Victorian times, will be explored with haunted antiques for kids to see - and hold (if they dare!)
* We do not go inside here but it is a museum definitely worth visiting!!

At this shop, families will learn about Lafitte- the most powerful pirate in 19th century New Orleans. They'll hear about some of his well known hauntings here- as well as those experienced on past tours. Kids will get to use a ghost detecting tool to measure any presence of spirits. (Adults can go inside while we're stopped here.)
5
New Orleans Historic Voodoo Museum
