Meeting Point
We meet in Monument Square next to the tall clock. Look for Longfellow Books and the bank building as reference points. Your guide will be standing by the clock holding an old fashioned lantern.

Our Lady of Victories (The Portland Soldiers and Sailors Monument)
Our tour will begin here by the tall Monument Square clock across from Longfellow Books. Travelers will see the lovely Monument Square which features Our Lady of Victories Monument. This is the most prominent piece of public art in Portland. It was constructed in honor of the soldiers and sailors who lost their lives in the Civil War. At this location travelers also get an up close look at the towering Time and Temperature building. This is one of the more haunted landmarks in Portland where spirits are said to roam the halls and ride the elevators.
