What You Will Do
This is a private tour which means it is just you and your party on board. You will be sailing on our beautiful classic sailboat named Tara. Tara is a classic sailboat and one of a kind in NYC. You will sail past Elis Island and the Statue of Liberty and learn about the history and some unique stories on their construction. You will also get a beautiful view of the Brooklyn Bridge and learn about the construction.

Itinerary
Meeting Point
Our sailboat, named Tara, is located at the end of the first dock at the bottom of the ramp. Keep an eye out for the Tribeca Sailing sign located on the lower walkway.

Statue of Liberty
10 minutes
We will get as close as possible to the Statue of Liberty for one of the best photo opportunities and view on the Harbor. Your captain has all the knowledge about her history from construction to the beautiful statue you see today.

Brooklyn Bridge
We will pass by the Brooklyn Bridge for a great photo opportunity. Your captain will give the history of the bridge including how it got its name. It is not as easy as it seems.

Lower Manhattan
You will experience the view of Lower Manhattan from the water. A view you will never forget. We will explain the architecture and history of the buildings including some unique stories on construction.

Ellis Island
Viewed from the water and your captain has wonderful commentary. We will explain the history of the architecture and the path immigrants took to get to America. The island is full of rich historical information that we will pass along. For example, no that is not graffiti on the building, we will explain as we glide by.

Governors Island
As we sail past the island we will explain the history and fun things to do! What is that round building? How did it get its name? What is that gray octagon building? Do people live there? So many questions and we have the answer. Governor’s island is a great place to visit for so many reasons.
