Cherry Hill Fountain was designed as a watering trough during the 19th Century. Enjoy a photo stop (with my horse!)

Central Park Carousel
The technology was very limited back in the 19th century. The Central Park Carousel originally ran on animal horsepower! These days kids can still enjoy riding but on colorful and decorative wooden horses.

New York's dog lovers erected this statue in 1925 in honor of the Alaskan Malamute "Balto", who led a sled team in Alaska in 1924 to deliver diphtheria antitoxins to the city on Nome.

The Dakota
Built between 1880 and 1884 The Dakota was the first high rise apartment building along Central Park West. John Lennon and Yoko Ono lived here until his assassination in1980 at the building's entrance.

Originally built as a sheep stable in 1870 in 1930 Tavern On The Green became an iconic restaurant in Central Park where diners can still enjoy a meal today.
