Your Palmetto Breeze adventure begins at our dock located on the Shem Creek Boardwalk. The meeting point is nestled between Water’s Edge Restaurant and Mount Pleasant Seafood. You’ll see our Palmetto Breeze sign near a gate that leads to the lower dock.

you’ll glide past historic downtown Charleston, with its charming skyline providing a stunning backdrop to the beginning of your journey. The iconic buildings of the Charleston Peninsula, with their pastel colors and historic architecture, will be on full display from the water—offering a unique perspective on the city’s rich history and Southern charm.

Fort Sumter National Monument
As we leave Shem Creek you will see Fort Sumter, the famed site where the first shots of the Civil War were fired. This historic fortress sits proudly in the harbor, offering a glimpse into America’s past. Whether you’re a history buff or simply enjoying the ride, seeing Fort Sumter from the water is a powerful reminder of Charleston’s historical significance.

Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge
You’ll pass the towering Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge, an iconic cable-stayed bridge that connects downtown Charleston to Mount Pleasant. The bridge’s modern design and towering height make it a striking feature of the city’s landscape, and passing beneath it gives you a true sense of its grandeur. This is one of the most memorable parts of the sail, with incredible views from below that are perfect for photos.

Next, we’ll sail past the massive USS Yorktown, an aircraft carrier that played a key role in World War II. Now permanently docked at Patriots Point, this impressive ship is a sight to behold from the water.
