PAINTING CLASS
This class is for both beginners and advanced painters alike. Learn to express your own creative style of painting, but with techniques recommended by an expert painter that will enhance your current skill level. You will learn about different painting mediums used to create your desired visual effect and more. Grab a paint brush and your own canvas to express your passion for art!

BATIK CLASS
This amazing pattern has captured the world’s eye as one of the most unique art forms ever made. Batik, which originated in Indonesia, is a technique of wax-resistant dying applied to cloth. It is made by drawing dots or lines with the wax using a tool called a tjanting (canting). The applied wax repels dyes and therefore allows the artisan to colour selective areas of the cloth by soaking it in one colour, removing the wax with boiling water, and repeating if multiple colors are desired. You will be guided directly by an expert artist on how to create your own batik by using a canting with hot wax and applying it to the cloth to turn it into batik. Select from a variety of colours to design your very own batik!

GAMELAN CLASS
Gamelan is the Balinese traditional ensemble music made up predominantly of percussive instruments. The most common instruments used are metallophones played by mallets and a set of drums called kendhang. For the Balinese, Gamelan is an integral part of their culture and ceremonies. You will learn about the melodic notes used in Gamelan, and how to play this unique instrument under the supervision of an expert musician. No experience necessary! Our expert teacher will guide you every step of the way!!
