We cruise through the affluent Buckhead community, first stop, step inside the Governor's mention learning its history, we continue on to view the impressively beautiful Swan House mansions (outside only). We stop for Southern Ladies lunch at the Swan Coach hours (cost of lunch not included). After lunch we head to Midtown Atlanta, There we drive through historical Ansley Park where we learn its history. Final stop of the tour is Grant Park area viewing its stately homes. Most buildings were built between the neighborhood's founding in 1882 and the first decades of the 20th century. Grant Park contains the largest remaining area of Victorian architecture in Atlanta. Surviving the Civil War, the house was the 1902 birthplace of golf legend Robert Tyre “Bobby” Jones and its preservation was, at one time, a passion of Margaret Mitchell, the author of Gone with the Wind.
