PLEASE MESSAGE ME VIA THIS SITE BEFORE YOU MAKE A BOOKING. Running through the heart of London; the River Thames has played a central role in the history of the city, and when the tide is low, the capital’s longest archaeological site is revealed! We will have about 1h 30mins on the foreshore at low tide before the tide starts to come in. We visit the foreshore at various places along the River Thames throughout the year. The days we can go down onto the foreshore depend on the tide being low. I'm also limited as to when I can take people down to the foreshore. We will look for historical objects along a stretch of the foreshore. You won't be allowed to scrape or dig, just eyes only. This is a great activity for children, but have to be accompanied by an adult if under 16 years old. I'll be holding up a 'Thames Beachcombing' sign when we meet.
