A very good combination of Cyprus nature (especially Paphos Forest, vineyards, Diarizos Valley), together with the island's cultural heritage (a traditional village, an old press, a medieval bridge, a historic monastery).

Stop At: Omodos

One of many stone-built villages in Cyprus, the most touristic of the traditional villages in the Limassol region. The village has extensive tourist amenities, including a couple of excellent restaurants, as well as coffee shops (and other shops). Usually we walk through a few of the alleys, visit the monastery church, where according to tradition, a piece of the rope used in Christ's crucifixion is found, and pass by an old press. As there is time even in the 6-hour package, and provided we do not spend much time at Kelephos medieval Venetian bridge, we could sit here for coffee and/or a meal. While up to 60 minutes would suffice to explore Omodos village, travellers in this package have the possibility to do a short walk (usually under three km long, ending at Kelephos medieval Venetian bridge) to immerse in the local nature. Other options and subject to time availability, we may spend more time in Omodos village (eg have a meal), visit a winery for wine tasting or do a short walk at Myllomeris Waterfall.

Stop At:

This is the most photographed medieval bridge in Cyprus. It is referred to as a 'Venetian' bridge as it is thought that it was built during the Venetian rule of the island (15th-16th century). It is just inside Paphos Forest. Water flows under the bridge year round (with maybe a few very exceptional years where the river dries out in August). According to local tradition it lies on a trail used by camel caravans to transport mine material from the mines on the north slope of Troodos to Paphos port for export. While up to 30 minutes would suffice to appreciate the ambiance of the place, travellers in this package have the possibility to do a short walk (usually under three km long) to immerse in the local nature. Other options and subject to time availability, we may spend more time in Omodos village (eg have a meal), visit a winery for wine tasting or do a short walk at Myllomeris Waterfall.
