You are going to be picked up by our driver and tour guide from your hotel at 09:30. We will go to first Ortahisar Castle. Ortahisar Castle, also known as the most spectacular fairy chimney of Cappadocia, is located in Ortahisar town of Nevşehir. Said to be one of the first multi-storey settlements in the world, this castle is surrounded by steep valleys on three sides. Its geography enabled the castle to be used for protection and shelter in ancient times. The castle, where the first settlement of the town started, became the center of Ortahisar in time with the settlements built around it. Then, we will drive Mustafapasa was known as Sinasos (“city of the sun”) and was home to more than 8,000 Greek Orthodox Turkish nationals, who had lived peacefully alongside their Muslim neighbours for generations. The village of Mustafapaşa (formally known as Sinasos) is one of the nicest villages in Cappadocia. In the last century it was the centre of Cappadocia and rich ottomans built their splendid mansions here.
Sobesos Ancient City; the only late-Roman/early- Byzantine settlement found in Cappadocia, mosaic pavements, Roman baths. There are some well-preserved mosaic floors and the ruins of a bathhouse. Soganli Valley is located a half an hour south of Urgup. To get here we will drive in and out of valleys through a landscape that looks like a miniature version of the Grand Canyon. In Soganli Valley we will spent about an hour and a half exploring churches that were carved into the sides of the mountains many hundreds of years ago. The churches are more interesting and during the entire time in the valley. After hiking in Soganli Valley, we will have lunch in the valley under apple or apricot trees.
After Soganli Valley, we will go to Mazi Underground City. We will explore underground caves while we are exploring the caves your guide will inform you about different sections of underground city.
Then, we will drive about 40 minutes from Mazi Underground City to Leather Fashion Show. Turkish cuisine is based on lamb and mutton, which means there are lots of soft skins from which to make fine leather clothing and accessories. Cappadocia is the center of the trade, but all cities have shops soft leather and suede coats, jackets, skirts, dresses, vests, hats, gloves, handbags, wallets and many other items. Or instead of leather shop, we can see textiles shop in Cappadocia. Turkey has some of the world’s most skillful and stunning textiles that surprisingly vary greatly in style, design and colors. From lightweight and natural summer fabrics to ornately embroidered velvet, there is a wide range of textiles you can purchase as a gift or simply take home yourself. Then, we will turn back your hotel around 17:00
