This activity begins at 8:00 AM and has a duration of approximately 7 hours. During this time we will visit two important ranches in the Cali history and culture. We will begin in hacienda El Paraíso which is the place where our most influential romantic novel takes place and we will explore its setting which is full of nature. The second place is the Hacienda "Piedechinche" where we will learn all about the sugar cane production and its history in the region. All transportation fees and entrance fees are included, as well as a typical lunch.

We will head over to the Hacienda and museum Piedechinche where we will take a small tour around one of the most important sugar cane museums in the world. Here you will learn all about the nature that surrounds us, about the history of sugarcane production over the past centuries and how the process of the sugar cane works today.

Stop At: Hacienda El Paraiso
Here we will stop to enjoy all the culture and literature that is behind on of our most influential romanticism novels of the 19th century. Here we will have an important look to a past where a shakespearean story unfolded and visit every environment where it all took place.

Stop At: Iglesia de Santa Elena
We will make a quick stop to the town to visit the monument of María and Efraín (the characters from the novel featured in the second Hacienda). We will also have the chance to try some artisanal wine from the region.

We will visit the wine cellar of the Santa Solera company, experts in making artisanal wine. We will taste the different artisanal wines made by this company.
