Enjoy a short bicycle trip out of Heidelberg town into the surrounding countryside along quiet, car-free rural lanes. Just 10 mins ride from the Centre of Heidelberg you can find yourself in the peace & tranquility of the local Nature.    Relax & rejuvenate as you ride through open fields and enjoy the beautiful views onto the nearby hills of the Bergstrasse, Germany's Riviera. Our destination is the charming old town of Ladenburg, once an important Roman settlement & home to Karl Benz, founder of the Automobile. If you are a car enthusiast we can visit the fascinating Carl Benz Auto Museum packed with an array of classic cars chronicling the history of the Mercedes brand. Here we can stroll around the quaint old streets and have a drink in a nice cafe by the Market Square.    Then we can gently pedal back to Heidelberg passing farms and the renowned 'Neuenheimer Felder' - the fertile fields where local fruit & vegetables are grown.
