Day 1 Arrive at Amman Airport

Stop At: Al Balad – Downtown Amman

Amman is one of the oldest cities in the world, inhabited since the bronze age. The city is growing into a modern city, but retains its character and history.

Duration: 4 hour

Day 2 Petra Main Trail

Stop At: Petra - Wadi Musa

Meet at the hotel lobby in Amman at 7 am. We will then drive to Petra and arrive at 10 am. Upon arriving in Petra, enter the Nabatean city through the magnificent tall and narrow canyon entrance to Petra known as the Siq. Witness the ancient city like the travelers of old along the main trail. After completing the main trail, you will have free time to further explore the magical site of Petra on your own, to enjoy at the cave bar, or to rest up for tomorrow. For the adventurous, there are several good options to explore including Jabal Khubtha, Um Bayyara, and more!

Day 3 Petra Back Way

Stop At: Petra

We'll take yet another entrance into Petra avoiding most of the crowds. We will hike a route up out of the valley that skirts around a mountain into a hidden high and the back entrance to Petra. Your hike is rewarded as you approach, without the crowds of the main sites below, perhaps the largest and best-preserved facade in all of Petra, the Monastery. Walking down the steps into the city and we'll pass oleander plants to the beginning of a slot canyon, Wadi Sho’ab Qais, that cuts through the heart of a mountain and ends at the path back to the Visitor Center. From there, we will head to end the Visitor's Center to end the day.

Day 4 Cycle from Shobak to Petra

Stop At: Shobak Castle

Start the day with a short transfer to Shobak Castle, the first of a series of Crusader Castles built in Jordan to control the region’s trade.

Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Al-Beidha - Little Petra

From Shobak we start our ride on one of the most epic stages of the Jordan Bike Trail to Little Petra. Mostly on dirt tracks with a section of paved roads, this route leads us around the mountains of Dana and Petra with great views across the Jordan Valley. Lunch boxes will be provided on our way by a local family from Petra. Close to the end of the ride enjoy a visit to Little Petra – an ancient suburb of Petra. Day 5 Cycle from Petra to Wadi Rum

Stop At: Wadi Rum Protected Area

Discover another stage of the Jordan Bike Trail today, equally stunning as the last one. Start a long descent off-road from the small town of Rajif, located at the top of the large hill just behind Petra, towards Wadi Rum. Don’t miss the many scenic views along the route. Lunch will be provided by a local Bedouin family on our way. Later, we will take you by jeep to your camp, where you can enjoy a delicious dinner and the general hospitality of the local Bedouins. Cycling: 49 Km; +335m; -1029m; Max grade: 14.0%; Avg grade: -1.4%. The route can be extended further towards Wadi Rum (time permitting). Additional distance: 42,0 Km; +374m; -256m; Max grade: 6,3%; Avg grade: – 0,1%.

Day 6 Summit Jabal Umm Ad-Dami (Jordan's Highest Peak)

Stop At: Wadi Rum Protected Area

Today, we will summit Jordan’s highest mountain. Jabal Umm ad-Dami (1854m) is located 35km south-east from Wadi Rum Village, close to the border Saudi Arabian border. The hike is a moderate one; from the foot of the mountain it will take about 2-3 hours to reach it’s top. ..and the stunning desert views are absolutely worth every effort! We then continue to explore more of Wadi Rum on a Jeep Safari, and enjoy another bedouin-cooked meal.

Day 7 Wadi Rum - Dead Sea Visit & Lunch - Amman

Stop At: Wadi Rum Protected Area

Have breakfast at the camp before we checkout and take jeeps to Wadi Rum Village

Duration: 2 hour

Stop At: Dead Sea Region

You can spend some time floating in the salty waters, try out the ‘magical’ Dead Sea mud, relax by the pool, or pamper yourself with some spa treatments – the perfect cure if your legs are still tired and sore from all the hiking.

Duration: 3 hour

Stop At: Amman

In the late afternoon, we will hop on the bus for the last time, and follow the long, winding road up to Amman – to return to where the adventure began.

Day 8 Departure

Stop At: Al Balad – Downtown Amman

Check-out from the hotel. Our standard package finishes here. Depart to Airport: Make your own way to the airport or book an airport transfer with us.
