1300 BCE dated Megalithic cultural commencement in Kadurugoda found recently for pennsylvania university students who were don excavations in the area. The temple is having 60 small stupas which is yet a mystery, the reason to built such number of Stupas in a same land.

One of the most notable landmarks, built in 1933 and burnt to ashes in 1980. It was one of the biggest libraries in Asia contained over 97000 books and manuscripts.
The library renovated and reopened in 2001 after the rebels bombed the library in 1985 for the second time.

Day 14: Ohiya

Stop At: Horton Plains National Park, Nuwara Eliya Sri Lanka
The highest elevated national park in the island. There are two treks one which lead to the second highest peak, The Kirigalpotta mountain and the other trek leads to the Baker's falls and the World's end drop view point which is the most popular among tourists.
Start the day early in the morning to get the best view since the clouds are covering the area after 10 am in the morning.
You will see Sambar deers while on the trekking to the view points and also if you lucky you will not miss the Sri Lankan Leopard as well.
