Visit the world-renowned and oldest International Rose Test Garden in the U.S. created way back in 1917! Take time to smell the roses and wander through the various fascinating attractions of famous Washington Park. Revel in the beauty, color and enchanting fragrance of over 10,000 individual rose bushes representing over 650 different varieties of this! Portland is known as the "City of Roses", thanks in part to this incredible display of nature's beautiful bounty.

Walk through the ornate grounds of the historic Pittock Mansion, built in an impressive French Renaissance nouveau style by one of Portland’s first titans of industry back in 1914. Take in the best panoramic view of both West & East Portland from the lofty hillside that offers breath-taking vistas of our surrounding snow-capped volcanoes, the Willamette River, downtown Portland and sprawling temperate rainforest stretching to the horizon and beyond!
