This boutique food and wine experience from Cairns will be tasting some of the best food and wine that the Atherton Tablelands has to offer. First stop is at Lake Barrine for a delicious breakfast overlooking the crater lake surrounded by lush rainforest, then to Nerada Tea Plantation for unique tea and local cheeses and Tree Kangaroo spotting. Lunch at the Platypus Park to watch them play and try Kangaroo, Crocodile and other delicacies followed by Tropical fruit wine and liqueur tastings!! Visit a working dairy farm and sample their chocolates, stop in for seasonal fruit tasting and Macadamia nuts. Then a tipple or 2 at Mt Uncle distillery, and last stop of the day at Jaques Coffee Plantation for coffee and tea tastings with some delicious scones jam and cream. You will be taken through a variety of contrasting landscapes, relax as we taste our way around the regions 'Food Bowl.' 7 Unique gourmet Stops! The maximum participants for this tour is 18.

A fantastic food and wine tasting adventure exploring the Atherton Tablelands, eat and drink all day long, meet the local characters and producers along the way.

Stop At: Lake Barrine

Here we overlook the stunning natural crater lake surrounded by lush rainforest. We enjoy a delicious breakfast of local produce and local coffee and tea in the original Victorian Tea house.

Stop At:

A private property to enjoy a tasting of their tropical Indigenous products they make whilst sitting in the river pavilion overlooking the Johnstone River.

Stop At: The Australian Platypus Park at Tarzali Lakes

Australian Platypus Park at Tarzali Lakes These wonderful creatures can be found in a spring fed pond, we take a wonder down to see them in this magnificent setting then sit down to a unique lunch. The lunch is produced onsite using their smoked products and include Crocodile, Red Claw (Yabby) Kangaroo, Smoked chicken and smoked Spanish Mackerel, the a choice of Platypus boutique beer or Dragon Fruit cider and a Lemon Myrtle tea.

A biodynamic dairy with the most spectacular scenery, here we taste their cheeses and ice cream.

Stop At: Humpy Nut World

Stop at ‘The Humpy’, the best place to go to for freshly harvested Atherton Tablelands produce straight from the growers. From vegetables to tropical fruits and hundreds of different varieties of nuts, dried fruits locally produced jams and sauces. Taste some seasonal fruits and many different flavours of hot local peanuts and macadamia nuts.

Stop At: Mt. Uncle Distillery

Here we stop for a tasting of some award winning spirits and enjoy the beautiful gardens and friendly animals.

Next stop Jaques Family Coffee Plantation. They grow and roast Australian Arabica Coffee beans in the rich soils of the Tablelands. Relax and take in the remarkable locations whilst learning the insight of the finer details of coffee from tree to cup. Enjoy a coffee and liqueur tasting platter with homemade Lemonade scones with local jam and cream.

If Jaques Coffee plantation is closed we will stop here for a cup of Jaques local coffee, scones with local jam and cream and a taste of some unique flavours of ice cream and sorbet
