Day 1 Cusco - Pisac - Urubamba - Ollantaytambo - Aguas Calientes

Stop At:

The day before the tour starts, the guide will visit you at your accommodation for a briefing and will give you the train and Machu Picchu access tickets. The next day (Day 1 of the Tour) you will be picked up at your accommodation in Cusco around 8:30 am.

Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Pisac

After 90 minutes by minibus, we will reach our first stop: Pisac, where we will visit the archaeological area and the traditional market, one of the best places to buy local crafts. With the assitance of the guide, in case you did not purchase it in Cusco, you will get the Sacred Valley tourist ticket (70 soles / $20 approx).

Duration: 2 hour

Stop At: Urubamba

We will continue our way to Urubamba, where we will enjoy a traditional lunch in one of the best-rated restaurants.

Stop At: Ollantaytambo

After lunch, you will get back on the minibus that will take you to the last stop of this excursion through the Sacred Valley of the Incas: the incredible fortress of Ollantaytambo, where you will have a guided tour. After the visit, the guide will bring you to the station where you will take the Expedition / Voyager category train to Aguas Calientes on your own (included in the price).

Stop At: Aguas Calientes

You will ride this iconic train for an hour and a half, traveling along the Vilcanota River valley, which offers spectacular views of the snow-capped mountains, the semi-tropical zone, and the high jungle area. In addition, a small snack is served for you to enjoy the ride. When you arrive in Aguas Calientes they will be waiting for you to accompany you to your accommodation, they will tell you the exact pick-up time for the next day and you will have time to have dinner on your own in the village and rest.

Day 2 Aguas Calientes - Machu Picchu - Cusco

Stop At: Aguas Calientes

This day you will have to get up a little early to enter Machu Picchu, but believe us, it will be worth it . You will have breakfast at the selected accommodation in Aguas Calientes and at the indicated time the guide will pick you up to walk with the rest of the group to the bus stop. Normally, the wait is 20 minutes until you take the bus that will take you to the entrance of the Inca Citadel.

Stop At: Santuario Historico de Machu Picchu

When you reach Machu Picchu you will begin the two hours guided tour. In the beginning, you will have more time to enjoy the place and take photographs, as it is the best location because it is accessed from the top. The guided tour continues through the different areas of the citadel and the guide explains in detail everything that is known about Machu Picchu and the Inca culture. At the end of the guided tour, the guide will say goodbye to the group and you will have free time to walk around the citadel. You will walk around it at your leisure until you decide to take the bus down to Machu Picchu town (Aguas Calientes).

Stop At: Aguas Calientes

Once you get to Aguas Calientes, you can have lunch at one of the many restaurants on your own and then take the train to Ollantaytambo (train schedule subject to availability).

Stop At: Cusco

After the panoramic train ride, you will get to Ollantaytambo train station. A transfer operated by the same train company will bring you back to Cusco, where the last transfer will be waiting for you to bring you to your accommodation, where you will arrive at approximately 8:30 p.m.
