This is a typical itinerary for this product
Day 1 Cusco - Km. 104 - Aguas Calientes
Stop At: Cusco
*The day before the tour starts, the guide will visit you at your accommodation for a tour briefing, so we make sure you make the most of your tour :) START: We will be picked up quite early in the morning (4:15 AM) from our accommodation in Cusco. From here we will be transferred to the train station and take the train to the famous KM. 104. We will leave the train and start hiking.
Duration: 2 hour
Stop At: Inca Trail
At km 104 begins our three-hour hike to the archaeological site of Wiñaywayna, which is at an altitude of 2,600 meters and is believed to have been the home of the ancient priests of Machu Picchu. We will have lunch and rest for a while and continue walking along the Inca Trail until we reach the Sun Gate, the access to the sacred site of Machu Picchu.
Duration: 4 hour
Stop At: Machu Picchu
We will descend by bus to Aguas Calientes, where we will stay in a hostel in a private room with a bathroom. We will have dinner and time to rest, take a walk around the town or optionally visit the thermal baths

Day 2 Aguas Calientes - Machu Picchu - Cusco
Stop At:
We will wake up very early and we will have breakfast at the hostel. We have two options to access Machu Picchu, walk up to the entrance or take the bus from Aguas Caliente. Once inside the Inca citadel, we will enjoy a 2 hour guided tour of the archaeological site, having then enough time to enjoy it on our own until the time to take the bus back to Aguas Calientes.

Stop At: Ollantaytambo
After having lunch in Aguas Calientes we will take the iconic train from Aguas Calientes to Ollantaytambo (Expedition category) where our driver will be waiting for us.
Duration: 2 hour
Stop At: Cusco
Upon arrival in Ollantaytambo, we will meet our driver, who will be waiting to take us back to Cusco, where the 2-day Inca Trail tour ends.
