The old town clerk's house and the former seat of the Duke of Bavaria, the Alte Hof, await us on Burgstrasse. The tour continues through the medieval Platzlgassen, past Schuhbeck's cooking school and directly to the world-famous Hofbräuhaus, which was even replicated in Las Vegas. After we have made a short detour to Germany's most expensive shopping street, Maximiliansstraße, the tour ends at the Bavarian State Opera, whose architecture is reminiscent of a Greek temple.
