Pinhão, Peso da Régua and Provesende are three of the villages you really must get to know. Our visit goes through two of the main farms in the region – Quinta do Bomfim and Quinta da Pacheca – where you will taste the best wines in the world while you hear the secrets of centuries of life and information ranging from the process of wine production to the tread of the grape, through to the characteristics of the soil itself. To appreciate all the beauty of the Douro River, you are invited for a boat ride in the village of Pinhão. This will give you a chance to get to know a beautiful section of the river, which has no access from the roads, and to have a unique experience full of tradition.

Pass By: Liberdade Square

The Praça da Liberdade (Liberty Square) is Porto’s main square and it connects the old town with the modern part of the city. The plaza is in the heart of Porto, very close to the Torre dos Clérigos (Clérigos Tower) and São Bento Railway Station. In the middle of the Praça is a 10-meter bronze equestrian statue of King Peter IV from 1862. The King holds the Constitution in his hands and shows it to the people, itself a symbol of the King since he fought to protect it during the Liberal Wars.

Stop At: Quinta do Bomfim
