Passing through the Mount Aenos we will arrive in the area of Omala Valley and we will find the largest religious monument in Kefalonia having been established in 1560 by St. Gerasimos, the patron saint of the island. The Omala Valley is the island’s primary wine-region, and most vineyards and wineries.You cannot pass from Kefalonia without tasting a glass of the famous local wine at the Robola Winery, located in this area. Continuing we will visit t the subterranean lake of Melissani, where small boats carrying visitors to admire the spectacular sight of the stalactites and the changing kaleidoscopic colors of the water and Drogarati Cave, discovered 300 years ago when an earthquake exposed the entrance. Leaving the caves we will meet another beautiful location surrounded by sea and fir tree cloaked mountains, Agia Efimia. On the way back snap some postcard-worthy photos from the top of the hill of Myrtos Bay.
