This is a typical itinerary for this product

Stop At: Parco Acheologico di Ercolano

Herculaneum lays only 4,5 miles northwest of Vesuvius but surprisingly the volcano’s eruption didn’t affect it as severely as nearby Pompeii infact whereas Pompeii’s destruction was drawn out, Herculaneum’s was sudden and decisive. You’ll walk around the ancient buildings that have been so well preserved that you’ll feel like Romans over 2000 years ago! There are still original timbers showing in the buildings and clay pots stored as they would have been at the time of the eruption.

Duration: 2 hour

Stop At: Vesuvius National Park

Afterward the drive will take you up Mount Vesuvius to 1000 meters from where, if you wish, you can walk up to the crater and meet an authorized Alpine guide who will be at your disposal for any questions.
