With a wonderful view, this trail has the peculiarity of connecting two of the highest peaks of Madeira Island, the Pico Ruivo (1862m) and the Pico do Arieiro (1818m), traveling to that part of the area of the Central Mountain Massif. This course will be quite uneven, so some physical effort will be required. Between some ascents and descents, it is important to arrive at Pico ruivo where you will find a steep ascent along hundreds of steps carved inside the rock and a meticulous descent. This is a suitable trail for lovers of flora and fauna and physical challenges. It is recommended the use of walking stick, suitable footwear, water (2l) and waterproof.
