Stop At: Nakamise Shopping Street (Kaminarimon), Asakusa, Taito 11-0032 Tokyo Prefecture

Enjoy shopping around Asakusa’s Nakamise Shopping Street while admiring the streets that remain from the Edo period and go worship at Tokyo’s oldest temple, Sensouji Temple.

You will be welcomed by a large red lantern, the Kaminarimon Gate, which starts the Nakamise Shopping Street. You can enjoy traditional Japanese snacks such as, ningyo yaki, rice crackers, and more. It is an enjoyable experience by just walking down this street because you can feel all of the traditional and culture all in one go!

Kaminari-Issa has been operating on the concept “Rich quality matcha is not bitter”, and has been spreading the rich, sweet taste of matcha to a diverse crowd of people. Let yourself experience the heart of Japan’s culture through the matcha making experience.

You will be able to experience the original process of making matcha by starting from grinding the matcha powder with the given tools.

Tasting your original matcha is truly something different. Enjoy a luxurious time tasting the rich, calming matcha.

The Hanayashiki Amusement park holds a long history and attracts many visitors till this day. In 1853, an architect, Rokusaburo Morita, built the flower park mainly filled with peonies and Chrysanthemum dolls. However, due to earthquakes and fires, the parke eventually closed down. In 1949, the park reopened as an amusement park. This amusement park has been attracting many visitors for its appeals on Asakusa’s charm.

At Hanayashiki Amusement Park, there are about 20 rides including roller coasters that pass right over residential houses and a Japanese haunted house.
There are fees to get on the rides, but the rides are unlimited this time around! Enjoy yourself to your heart’s content!

Stop At: Asakusa Kagekijo, 2-28-1 Asakusa, Taito 111-0032 Tokyo Prefecture

The Asakusa Kagekijo is a small theater that opened in the Hanayashiki Park in 2019. This theater puts on a variety of entertainment shows. The 4-story theater has the stage and arena seating on the 2nd floor, and balcony seats on the 3rd and 4th floor. This time, we will watch, Hanafurisode no mai, a show that shows off the charms of Japanese culture.
*Please exchange the drink ticket for a drink before the show.
*After the show, there will be a photo shoot with Hanafurisode.

The crowded area of Sensouji Temple calms down at night and gives of a majestic vibe at night. Enjoy the lovely nightscape of Sensouji Temple as the last stop on the tour.

For the last event of the tour, let’s head back to the Nakamise shopping street for a nighttime view.

Everyday, the Kaminarimon gate and the main worship hall of Sensouji Temple is lit up until around 11pm. See the calm atmosphere of the shopping street. You can also see the designs on the shutters of each store, which can only be seen after operating hours.
