A scenic hiking route that offers stunning views of North-East Akamas bays and beaches, including Fontana Amoroza, as well Polis Chrysochou bay. Points of interest include Baths of Aphrodite, Mouti tis Sotiras view point, Pyrgos tis Rigainas ancient remains and a giant oak tree, where according to the legend, goddess Aphrodite used to rest. -Distance: 7 km -Duration: 3-4 hours including stops and breaks -Level: Moderate - Type: Circular At the end of the hiking tour you will have 2 hours free-time until mini-bus pickup. You can have lunch at the Baths of Aphrodite restaurant and/or swim or snorkel at the crystal-clear waters of the Baths of Aphrodite Bay below. Our hiking guides are experienced locals with more than 25 years of experience. We always carry an advanced first-aid kit for a large group of people and at least one of our hiking guides is a certified first-aid assistant.

Stop At:
Starting from the baths of Aphrodite, this nature trail passes through Black pine and Phoenicean juniper forest upwards to the medivial monastery remains of "Pyrgos tis Rigainas" and the 860 years old giant oak tree, which according to the tradition was the resting place of goddess Aphrodite on her way from Baths of Aphrodite . A short uphill to enjoy the panoramic view from "Moutti tis Sotiras" at 370m above sea level and then downhill through a beautiful sea-view trail to reach the road to Fontana Amoroza, which will lead us back to the Baths of Aphrodite.

According to legend this is the place where Greek mythology goddess Aphrodite used to bathe after a swimming at the sea bay. It is also the place where Adonis met Aphrodite and their love affair begun.
