We will travel to Amatenango del Valle, approx. 50 minutes from San Cristobal, Tseltal town, where women to this day keep alive the tradition of making pottery crafts as it was in pre-Hispanic times.
We will visit 2 houses where the women-potters will explain the tradition and share the pottery secrets with us.
In the first house we will try a typical breakfast (included) and we will participate in a workshop with the potter, during which we will test our artistic talent and have fun as children again.
The visit continues at the house of Juana Gomez, creator of the giant jaguars, woman-potter recognized nationally and even abroad.
On the way back we will visit traditional family-run bakery.
An experience for all ages! Excellent for families with children and for adults who want to forget about the digital world, get back in time for a moment and let go their creativity.
Included: private transport, brakfast and donation for the potters.
