Stop At: Cefalu

The itinerary to see Cefalù starts from Lungomare Giuseppe Giardina and follow it to the beginning of Via Vittorio Emanuele, where the houses begin. From here a walk through the small narrow streets, the old houses, the shops, the restaurants and the ice cream parlors. In the middle of via Vittorio Emanuele is the medieval wash house, which is accessed via a lava stone staircase. Continuing beyond the wash house, you arrive at Porta Pescara, an opening from which you can see the sea. Shortly after Porta della Pescara on your left you will find Piazza Marina with the quay of the old port. From the old port you can see the most fascinating part of Cefalù: the houses with balconies directly on the sea. Continuing on the main street, Corso Ruggero, after a few meters you will find yourself in the town hall square in front of which you can see the Cathedral of Cefalù. In addition to the village Cefalù can boast one of the most beautiful beaches in Sicily with white sand and crystal clear waters.

Visiting Geraci Siculo is like taking a journey through time in the heart of Sicily, in its traditions and history. 114 km away from Palermo, it is perched on a long hill at 1077 meters above sea level, from which you can enjoy a vast panorama of the Sicilian inland countryside and the Madonie, protected by the homonymous park. The quaint old town is made up of small brick houses, enriched by ancient churches and the ruins of the medieval castle. All this makes your trip pleasant and full of surprises.
