Dim sum is a southern Chinese term that can be translated to mean snack. In this experience we will be trying out iconic dim sum as well as some other snacks beloved by the locals. A generous selection of sweet and savory dishes with both Chinese and Filipino flavors. For those who love food, this experience will be right up your alley! We will be visiting what CNN Travel has called the oldest Chinatown in the world, Manila City's Binondo Chinatown. Here, we will be exploring the side streets and alleyways to find hidden gems and hole-in-the-wall restaurants and beloved local food.

Itinerary Details

We'll meet up at the Binondo Church and learn a brief history of the area. Then make our way towards our first stop where we'll be sampling some baked savory filled pastries reminiscent of an empanada.

We then make our way to a hole-in-the-wall dumpling place and try out some fresh hand made dumplings.

Next, we walk along the main street of Chinatown as we take in the different sights and sounds before making our way to our next stop and try some fluffy meat buns stuffed with sweet and savory pork.

Soon after, we'll squeeze our way through the long lines and try out some dimsum classics such as Crystal Shrimp Dumplings and Beancurd Rolls washed down with iced milk tea.

We'll continue our walk deeper into Chinatown and try a different kind of bun, filled with a meatball.

Then top off our experience with sweet treats from 2 different bakeries.
