The added presence of the equally intriguing Chobe River (in one season the water flows downstream and in the other it flows upstream) brings a myriad of game and rare bird species to this natural wilderness. The Park boasts the Big Five and the river teems with hippos and crocodiles which can be viewed both from boats and safari vehicles. It is to this “animal paradise” that participants will be taken after an early breakfast at the Hotel. After an hour’s drive through the Zambezi National Park, quick border formalities are carried out into Botswana before proceeding into the national park. Chobe River cruises and Game drives have to be one of the finest game viewing experiences in Africa. With over 80 000 elephant in the park alone they are a very frequent sighting. Hippo, water birds, buffalo, crocodile and puku are also viewed from the river. Lunch is served at Chobe Safari Lodge.Activities: Game Drive & Boat cruise on the Chobe River.
