Your private day trip begins with a 9am pickup from your hotel or cruise port in Funchal. Board the comfortable air-conditioned minivan and start your guided tour.

Head first for Câmara de Lobos, a fisherman's village noted for its black scabbardfish. Next go in direction of Cabo Girão, situated on the highest promontory in Europe, at approximately 1,900 feet (580 meters) above the sea and famed for its suspended glass platform.

Ponta do Sol is next, considered the hottest municipality of the island and also where the sun shines for more hours. In Calheta you have the opportunity to observe the manufacturing of rum and sugar cane honey and also visit the town's sandy beach.

Next is Porto Moniz, located in the north of the island. Here you can find the town's natural pools formed from volcanic rocks. In Seixal you can also enjoy natural pools before making a final stop in São Vicente, known for its volcanic caves and volcanic center.

Your private tour concludes with a drop-off back at you hotel or the cruise port at about 4pm.
