Day 1: Arrival to Bishkek

Stop At: Bishkek, Bishkek
A White Leopard employee will meet you at Manas Airport. After breakfast and a rest at the hotel, we will go on a city tour of Bishkek to see Oak Park, Ala-Too Square, and Osh Bazaar.
Duration: 4 hours

Meals included:
• Breakfast: At the hotel. Usual breakfast consists of bread with butter and jam, honey, and eggs or porridge, tea and coffee.

Day 2: Burana Tower and Issyk-Kul

Stop At: Burana Tower, Don-Aryk, Tokmok 722201 Kyrgyzstan
We leave from Bishkek through the Boom Gorge. On the way, we will visit the Burana Tower near the city of Tokmok. This tower was built during the era of the Karakhanid Kaganate, which existed in the 11-12 centuries. The tower was a center point in the capital city, Balasagyn.

Stop At: Boom Gorge, Bishkek Kyrgyzstan
Lunch will be at Food Zone, in Boom Gorge. After lunch we will explore the intricate mysteries of Kok Moinok Canyon before driving along the north shore of the lake.
Duration: 3 hours

Stop At: Museum of Petroglyphs, Cholpon Ata 720025 Kyrgyzstan
On the north shore of Lake Issyk-kul, we will stop at the Open-Air Petroglyph museum. Follow the suggested path or wander as you please through the 42 hectare site. The boulder field is covered with stones that contain depictions of animals and events that date back to 2000 BCE. This is the largest collection of these petroglyphs in Kyrgyzstan.
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Jyrgalan Valley Trekking/Freeride Skiing, Asanbaev st., 3, Karakol 722360 Kyrgyzstan
In Jyrgalan valley, on the eastern end of the lake, we will arrive at the yurt camp for dinner and a night in a traditional nomadic style home.
Duration: 8 hours

Meals included:
• Breakfast: At the hotel. Usual breakfast consists of bread with butter and jam, honey, and eggs or porridge, tea and coffee.
• Lunch: At Food Zone, traditional Kyrgyz cafeteria with wide variety of food options.
• Dinner: At yurt camp

Day 3: Horse Ride in Jyrgalan

Stop At: Jyrgalan Valley Trekking/Freeride Skiing, Asanbaev st., 3, Karakol 722360 Kyrgyzstan
Wake up in a cozy yurt and enjoy breakfast. We will then saddle up and take a ride, enjoying one of the more beautiful locations in Kyrgyzstan. Here there are easy trails with scenic hills, forest, and streams.

Barbecue picnic with traditional Kyrgyz shashlik (barbeque) either near the lake or the waterfall.

Stop At: Karakol, Karakol, Issyk Kul Province
Karakol is home to two, very old religious structures. One is the colorful, Dungan style mosque and the other a picturesque, wooden Russian Orthodox Church. Both are best photographed in the early evening.
Duration: 30 minutes

• Breakfast: At the camp. Traditional breakfast with selection of breads, cheese, meats, fruits, tea & coffee.
• Lunch: Picnic lunch during horse ride
• Dinner: Dastorkan

Day 4: Trekking Day: Telety Pass

Stop At: Jeti-Oguz Canyon (Seven Bulls Rocks), Kyrgyzstan
Drive from Karakol to the Kok-Kzhaiyk valley. On the way, you will have the opportunity to see the famous Jeti Oguz, covered with legends, red sand, and the rocks “Broken Heart” and “Seven Bulls”.
Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Telety Pass, Karakol Kyrgyzstan
Trek from Kok-Kzhaiyk through the Telety pass. The height of Telety Pass is 3800 m. Crossing: 16 km, 6-8 hrs., +1500m / -750m
Duration: 7 hours

Day 5: Trekking Day: Kurgak Tor Valley

Stop At: Karakol Gorge, Karakol Kyrgyzstan
Leave Telety camp and descend into Karakol Gorge before making a final ascent into the Kurgak Tor Valley.
Crossing: 15 km. / 6-8 hours / +900 m. / -1300 m.
Duration: 7 hours

Day 6: Trekking Day: Ala Kol Lake

Stop At: Ala Kul Lake, Karakol Kyrgyzstan
Today we will be on our way to one of the most beautiful lakes in the Central Tien Shan - Ala-Kol (3532 m). A moraine lake, Ala Kol stretches from east to west for 2.8 km, its width is 500m, and reaches a depth of 70m. After the lake, we continue to Ala Kol Pass, then descend all the way down to Altyn Arashan river. The height of the pass is 3900 m.
Crossing: 16 KM / 8-9 h / +1100 / -1450 m.
Duration: 9 hours

Stop At: Altyn Arashan, Karakol Kyrgyzstan
Altyn Arashan means the Golden Source, which was named after the hot, healing sources of hydrogen sulfide that are prevalent in this valley. After the long walk, you can relax in one of the hot springs. (Remember to pack your swimming suit!).

Day 7: Trekking Day: Altyn Arashan

Stop At: Altyn Arashan, Karakol Kyrgyzstan
Downhill walk through the Altyn Arashan valley, with spectacular views of the mountains and plenty of places to picnic. Transfer from Ak Suu to Karakol by car.
Crossing: 15 km. / 4-5 hrs. / -671 m.

Duration: 4 hours

Stop At: Issyk Kul, Kyrgyzstan
Enjoy a sunset boat cruise on Lake Issykul.
Duration: 1 hour

Day 8: South Shore of Issyk-kul

Stop At: Canyon Skazka, Tosor Kyrgyzstan
This whimsical canyon is a short drive from the main road. The red tone in the sandstone formations gives this canyon extra charm, and the meandering trail into the canyon is almost irresistible to the curious explorer.
Duration: 2 hours

Stop At: Bokonbayevo, Bokonbayevo, Issyk Kul Province
We will arrive at Bokonbaeva mid-day, and there are options for short hikes with amazing views from the valley behind the town. You can also request to see an eagle hunting demonstration and we will visit a locally run women’s co-operative that makes beautiful felted shyrdaks.

Day 9: Back to Bishkek

Stop At: Boom Gorge, Bishkek Kyrgyzstan
Travel back to Bishkek, skirting the west end of the lake and following the Boom Gorge and Chon Kemin River back toward the capital.

Options to visit souvenir shops, walk to local parks, or explore around the hotel until dinner.
