The avenue of the Kings, the oldest and most important avenue in Berlin, with all its historical sites and monuments. We will tell you the history and what happens here today. With its 1,5 kilometers, it joins the Brandenburg Gate and Alexanderplatz

Here we will visit the Catholic Cathedral of Berlin and the Humboldt University. Also the beautiful Hotel de Rome. This is the place where the infamous book burning happened during nazi times.

Berlin’s Museumsinsel, home to the legendary bust of Nefertiti and the Pergamon Altar – and five museums with works from Ancient Egypt, Byzantium and Berlin. Berlin’s Museum Island (Museumsinsel) is a magnificent total art work, a truly outstanding ensemble of five world-renowned museums.

A large square located in the center of Berlin, near the Spree river and the Royal Palace in Berlin, among other historical buildings. It is one of the nerve centers of the city, such as Potsdamer Platz. In the same Alexanderplatz are located, among others, the Park Inn Hotel Berlin, the tallest building in the city, and the World Clock, a large metal structure that permanently rotates and shows the time around the world.

The charm of old Berlin comes to life in the idyllic Nikolaiviertel. Here is where you can see how Berlin was when it was just a small town next to the Spree River, in medieval times. There are small houses instead of tall buildings, narrow streets instead of wide boulevards. Only the giant Television Tower above the rooftops reminds you that Nikolaiviertel is not a romantic village but in the middle of bustling Berlin.

Stop At: Stiche Dussel am Gendarmenmarkt
Located in the Mitte district, Gendarmenmarkt is known as Berlin's most beautiful square. It is the site of three impressive buildings: The German and the French Cathedral and Schinkel's Konzerthaus.

A major culture and shopping street in central Berlin. Friedrichstraße was rebuilt in the 1990s, and at the time it was the city's largest construction project. A number of well-known architects contributed to the plans. Here we will find the Galeries Lafayette of Berlin as well ay many other shopping locations, boutique hotels, nice restaurants and of course, the famous Chechpoint Charlie, where we will stop for a visit.

Stop At: Kurfurstendamm
Berlin’s most popular shopping boulevard is the beating heart of the western city centre. Kurfürstendamm got its name from the prince-electors who rode along it to hunt in Grunewald, but now it’s full of Berliners and visitors on the hunt for the latest fashion and designer items. Berliners call it Ku’damm. The 3.5-kilometre-long boulevard takes you from Breitscheidplatz and the Kaiser-Wilhelm-Gedächtniskirche to Rathenauplatz, where the Grunewald villas begin.

Stop At: Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church
The original church on the site was built in the 1890s. It was badly damaged in a bombing raid in 1943. The present building, which consists of a church with an attached foyer and a separate belfry with an attached chapel, was built between 1959 and 1963. The damaged spire of the old church has been retained and its ground floor has been made into a memorial hall. The Memorial Church today is a famous landmark of western Berlin, and is nicknamed by Berliners "der hohle Zahn", meaning "the hollow tooth".

Once it was the Berlin Wall. Now it’s the longest open-air gallery in the world. At 1316 metres long, the open-air art gallery on the banks of the Spree in Friedrichshain is the longest continuous section of the Berlin Wall still in existence. Immediately after the wall came down, 118 artists from 21 countries began painting the East Side Gallery, and it officially opened as an open air gallery on 28 September 1990. Just over a year later, it was given protected memorial status.
