A hike in the Wachau, directly above the Danube, in a stunningly beautiful, historic setting. In the heart of the Wachau, which is one of the most famous regions of Austria, the old Kuenringerstadt Dürnstein serves us as a starting point. A magnificent rock and forest landscape, cultural monuments, such as probably the most famous castle ruins in Austria or old vineyards on stone terraces dominate this hike. This four-hour tour requires sure-footedness, no fear of heights (for the standard route) and some stamina. In wet conditions or for non-vertigo-free persons a simplified round is chosen. If possible, we use the ferry (when travelling by car), this is the best way to Dürnstein. At the end of the tour, you can still explore Dürnstein on your own. This tour is a treat for the senses. One experiences the Wachau feels the elements. The story is peculiarly tangible. We connect everything worth seeing in a pleasant round that offers many vantage points. We are always looking forward to doing this tour.
