We will start with delicious coffee and fig bread, to get energy for our walk to enjoy thousands of monarch butterflies flying around you in an amazing landscape, after they traveled more than 4,000 km from Canada. Monarch butterflies have one of the most important migrations in the world, from southern Canada to the oyamel forests in the States of Mexico and Michoacan, you will be surprised at their fragility but at the same time their strength. You can hear his flutter! You will learn about their biology, migration routes, their journey from Canada, the dangers, their predators and their life cycle. You will also know about Mexican cuisine in pre-Hispanic times, from ritual drinks like cocoa and pulque, through insects, plants and flowers, to a delicious sauce in molcajete and prepare your own tortillas by grinding corn in metate. You're going to love it! We will return to Mexico City at approximately 6:00 pm.
