Its place at the heart of the Mekong Delta has been cemented from the middle of the 18th century and, since that time, it has built up a proud history based in beautiful architecture and wartime involvement. Itinerary Details

From our luxury eco-accommodation in Can Tho, the guide and driver will take us via car into the city itself. Though it is the 4th biggest city in Vietnam, it has the feel of a nature-flanked town, which is evident as we drive up to its central area of Ninh Kieu.
Here we will explore the pier and promenade walk of Ninh Kieu as it overlooks the Mekong and Can Tho rivers. We visit the park to see the huge statue of Ho Chi Minh before pressing onto some of the ancient and elaborate religious buildings of some of Can Tho’s earliest residents – the Chinese and Khmer. We see both the intricacy of Chinese patterns at Ong Temple and the palatial gold of the Khmer WatMunirensay.
After that we visit Binh Thuy ancient house. The French-style house was built in 1870 by the Duong family on an area of...

The house is filled with features that represent rural areas in the Mekong Delta region during the 20th century.
