Farida would also show you how to prepare a traditional desert - Halvai Tar, the dish that is disappearing after the arrival of manufactured sweets. While preparing the dish to talk to her, and ask questions - she teaches in local school almost every day in the morning. She would take you to the house, help you in understanding how family traditions work, and how people live in this historic city. After the meal, she will take you to the hotel and there you would say your good-byes.

Sample Menu

• Samsa - Multilayered filo with the filling of beef and onions, baked in the oven. We also would have soup with it, made from buckwheat, a 1,000 years old soup
• Plov - The central dish of Uzbekistan - prepared with beef, yellow carrots, rice, and onions.
• Halvai Tar - The ancient dessert made with flour, sugar, and water. It looks very chocolaty from its presentation.
