The Royal Cathedral of Dresden is a magnificent structure. Built in secret by a catholic ruler in protestant Saxony, the former court church has some unusual features and is one of the burial sites of the Royal family. We will see it from the outside and learn its interesting story.

Stop At: Procession of Princes
100 metres long, 24,000 thousand tiles, the longest porcelain artwork in the world. There are secrets and stories hidden within it. See if you can spot them!

Stop At: Theaterplatz
The Theaterplatz of Dresden is where the city comes together to make its voice heard. Dominated by the imposing Semperopera, the square is enclosed by the Royal Palace, The Cathedral and Old Masters Gallery and considered by many to be one of the most beautiful squares of Europe. You will see the State Opera from outside during the walking tour of the historic city centre and learn about its history, its architecture and its importance.

It is considered a sculpture you can experience and was conceptualized as the entrance to a grand new royal palace that was never built. It is a reminder of the exotic and fantastic parties once held here 300 years ago.

This is the symbol of Dresden, the personification of Dresden's rising from the ashes. You will learn its story and time permitting we can go in for a quick visit.

Stop At: Gemaldegalerie Alte Meister
The sculptures are pure fluid movement captured in marble and the paintings windows into other worlds. The ruling family of Dresden sought out treasures and displayed them in a magnificent building made especially to house art. Their passion for beauty is a thing of wonder and we can walk through the corridors of the gallery to gaze upon the likes of Reubens, Rembrandt, Vermeer, Titian, Tintoretto and Raphael amongst other greats. While in Dresden do what the rulers did: be immersed in beauty that the titans of art have created. This is not to be missed!
