Lets to know the reason for the curious name for this legendary place on the outskirts of the city. A historical landmark because here was shot the emperor Maximilian of Habsburg.

Stop At: Parroquia del Sagrado Corazon de Jesus Templo de Santa Clara
One of the greatest examples of the baroque, this nunnery was established in 1607, by don Diego de Tapia son of one of the founders of Queretaro. Join our tour you will be amazed by its gorgeous altarpieces fully cover with gold leave.

A beautiful always green square with its fountains and kiosk from the early 1900s, located in the very heart of the city, it owes its name to the beloved governor of the State don José Santos Zenea.

A "must visit" place in the tour, this building works as the Governor´s Palace. This is the place where doña Josefa Ortiz de Dominguez was imprisoned in 1810 and from here she wrote and send a letter to Captain Allende, doing possible the insurgent revolution against the Spanish crown.

The main square of the city, surrounded by beautiful baroque houses and nice restaurants, has a monument to Don Antonio de Urrutia y Arana, the Marquiz who sponsored the construction of the aqueduct.

Symbol of the city and proud of the people, this magnificent hydraulic work, was built from 1726 to 1738, by the Marquis Don Juan Antonio de Urrutia. It is 1280 meters long with 74 arches, the tallest of them is 28 meters tall. let's drive it all its long, side to side.
Stop At: Templo y ex-convento de la Santa Cruz de los Milagros
According to the tradition this convent was built at the top of "El sangremal" hill, the place where Queretaro was founded on July 25 on 1531. Come to stroll by its patios and corridors that remind us of the former evangelization by the Franciscans and let´s know the tree that blooms cross-shaped thorns.
