More than 450 years ago, Jean II Seigneur de Losse returned to the fortress built by his ancestors. From an early age, he had served the Crown, as a page to François I, then taking part in several battles and defending strongholds during the reigns of Kings Henry II and Charles IX. His merits were recognized and he derived fame and fortune from them.
In 1570, as you can read on the stone above the arch of the entrance, he built the castle in the fortress. Where did he hide his treasure which allowed him to do this work? We found hiding places.
