Stop At: Seljalandsfoss
The trail that circles Seljalandsfoss is its most distinctive feature. In the summer, visitors can completely circle the large cavern in the cliffs behind the falls using the rocks and walkways. Visitors should be prepared to get wet due to the continual mist of the falls, which also tends to make the rocks of the pathway slippery, even though it is a mesmerizing opportunity.
Duration: 30 minutes
Stop At:
Stakkholtsgjá is two kilometers long and around 100 meters deep. The canyon is traversed by a number of tiny streams, and despite being very large at its entry, it becomes increasingly narrow as it continues. Although some trips to the area stop at the gorge, which is located in the Thorsmörk Nature Reserve in South Iceland, it is nevertheless regarded as a hidden gem.
Duration: 1 hour
Stop At: Volcano Eyjafjallajokull
The Eyjafjallajökull glacier is the sixth largest in the nation, covering over 100 square kilometers (39 square miles). It is located next to Mrdalsjökull, the fourth-largest glacier in the world, which hides Katla, another infamous volcano. The most well-known outlet-glacier from Eyjafjallajökull is Gigjökull. Its meltwater feeds numerous rivers, one of which empties into the stunning Seljalandsfoss waterfall on the South Coast, which may be completely encircled.
