Stop At: Rozafa Castle

At the break of dawn, the tour begins our journey to the glorious Montenegro. We traverse the Northern region of Albania and make our way to the port city of Shkoder. This city is the beating heart of the North and proudly hosts the grandiose Rozafa castle, which stands atop a hill, embraced by two rivers and can be viewed in all its splendour during our coffee break before the frontier on the Buna River shores .

Stop At: Budva

Following the border, we shall press onward to the southern expanse of Montenegro, encountering some of the more breathtaking vistas of the Riviera and the idyllic coves of the rocky shoreline. Budva stands as one of the premier tourist destinations of Montenegro, boasting a rich heritage that dates back two-thousand and six-hundred years. Our tour of Budva continues with a quick visit to the remnants of the Roman Ruins and the grandeur of the Budva Fortress, which offers a breathtaking view of the coast. The winding, quaint streets of Budva are enticingly captivating and it is highly recommended to spend some time wandering and exploring the small, local shops.

Sveti Stefan is the enchanting islet of Montenegro located about 3 miles south of the city of Budva. Surrounded by the blue waters of the Adriatic and connected to the mainland by a thin strip of land, this is one of the most luxurious tourist resorts in Europe.

Stop At: St. Tryphon Cathedral

Behold the grandeur of the Roman Church, one of two Catholic Churches to be found in Montenegro. Having been consecrated on the nineteenth of June in the year of our Lord eleven sixty-six, it stands as a majestic testimony to faith, even as the country now follows Eastern Orthodoxy. Of all the glorious buildings of Kotor, the Kotor Cathedral is most certainly one of the grandest and most ornate.

Majestically perched upon the grandiose limestone cliffs of Mt. Lovćen, Kotor stands proud as a fortified bastion along Montenegro's awe-inspiring Adriatic coast. Its winding streets and squares are steeped in history and antiquity, boasting a plethora of Romanesque churches, not least among them the captivating Kotor Cathedral. We can have lunch in Kotor at one of the many restaurants in the old city and head back to Tirana.
