Learn all about the important buildings in each corner, as the Constitution Square originates from the esplanade of Mexico City Tenochtitlan. During the viceroyalty it was known as Plaza de Armas, it is currently known as the "First Frame" or "Zocalo".

We visit the Archaeological Zone of Tlatelolco within the city of Mexico, it was a city founded by the Tlatelolcas, a Mexica tribe that separated from the Tenochcas, founders of Mexico-Tenochtitlan. Mexico-Tlatelolco was located on an island to the north of this city within Lake Texcoco. There was the most important tianguis in the region - and indeed in all of Mesoamerica - where all kinds of local merchandise and the most remote areas were sold.
