There are different routes to choose from on our live digital maps mounted to your handle bars. We have longer (75 km +) and shorter (50 KM) routes available. Explore the breathtaking beauty of Vancouver Island as you cycle along the Lochside Trail & Galloping Goose trail through the Saanich Peninsula & Elk/Beaver Lake Regional Park. If you are up to the added challenge, why not bike all the way into the quaint seaside city of Victoria & explore the city. Alternatively take the shorter route and head over to Brentwood Bay & spend a relaxing afternoon in the world famous Butchart gardens or take a kayak out for a paddle in the sheltered waters of Todd Inlet. A completely unique experience!

Elk & Beaver Lake is a great little stop off along your route into Victoria to enjoy some nature, have a snack/refreshment or go for a swim.

Stop At: Lochside Regional Trail

The Lochside Regional Trail is a 29-kilometre trail that runs from the Swartz Bay Ferry Terminal to Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. The trail is a popular route both for commuting and recreation. It is frequented by people walking, running, cycling, skateboarding and riding horses. The trail passes through colorful farmland, beautiful coastlines, forests and small towns.

This picturesque multi-use trail, formerly a railway line, moves through urban, rural and wilderness scenery. You will join up with the Galloping Goose Trail on your way into Victoria an follow this spectacular trail all the way downtown.

The Butchart Gardens is a 118-year-old internationally-renowned 55-acre display garden located in Brentwood Bay, British Columbia. Created by Jennie Butchart, and still privately owned and operated by the family, The Gardens was designated a National Historic Site of Canada, in 2004 for its one hundredth birthday. (Please note that there are different routes along the Self - Guided tour.
